System Requirements and Specifications

 

Overview

The VSee platform requires a modern web browser with native WebRTC support, or downloadable software for advanced features such as PTZ camera support, stethoscope integration, and other capabilities.

System requirements

To access the VSee platform online, the following requirements must be met:

  • A stable internet connection, along with a camera, microphone, and speakers, is essential for conducting video visits on a desktop computer or mobile application.

  • For frequent use, we recommend using the VSee mobile app or desktop application for a more seamless experience.

  • While the VSee Clinic dashboard is accessible via an internet browser, calls can typically be made through the same browser using the In-Browser Calling feature. However, some clinics prefer to use the VSee Messenger App alongside VSee Clinic for video calls.

Hardware Requirements

  • Webcam: Built-in or HD/PTZ webcam

  • Microphone & Speakers: Built-in microphone and speakers

  • Earphones/Headphones (Optional): Recommended in case of echo issues

OS Requirements

VSee is officially compatible with the most commonly used mobile devices, tablets, laptops, and personal computers. It supports the latest versions of major operating systems, as well as versions released in the past five years:

  • Android: Version 11.0 or above. Recommended devices:

    • Google Pixel 2 or newer

    • Samsung Galaxy S10 or newer

    • Samsung Galaxy Note 10 or newer

  • iOS: Version 15.0 or above

    • iPhone 6S or newer

    • iPhone SE (1st generation) or newer

  • iPadOS: Version 15.0 or above

    • iPad Air 2 or newer

    • iPad (5th generation) or newer

    • iPad mini 4 or newer

    • All iPad Pro models

  • macOS: Version 12.0 (Monterey) or above

  • Windows: Windows 10 x64 (Version 20H2 or above)

    • CPU: 2GHz dual-core processor for up to 3-way calls

    • Recommended CPU: Intel® Core™ i5 or i7 for group video calls

    • Device Compatibility: VSee is supported only on Windows Surface tablets with full Windows OS

    • Note: 32-bit Windows is not supported

Software Requirements

Browser for portal access only

  • Supported Browsers:

    • Chrome / MS Edge (Version 87 or later)

    • Safari (Version 15 or later)

  • Unsupported Browsers:

    • Firefox

    • Internet Explorer

    • Opera

  • Additional Requirements:

    • JavaScript must be enabled

    • Cookies must be allowed for VSee Clinic to function properly

Browser for portal access and in-browser calling capability

  • The last two versions of browsers with native WebRTC support

  • Chrome / Microsoft Edge on Windows and macOS

  • Mobile Safari on iOS / iPadOS (ensure "REQUEST DESKTOP WEBSITE" is turned off under iOS Settings → Safari)

  • Chrome on Android (ensure "Desktop site" option is turned off in the Chrome menu)

VSee Messenger App

Official support is provided only for the last two versions of the VSee Messenger app. Please download the latest version:

  • Windows and Mac: VSee - Download

  • iOS and Android: Search for VSee Messenger in the App Store or Play Store

VSee Clinic for Patient App

This mobile app allows patients/clients to easily connect with their providers. It can be used if they encounter any issues accessing VSee Clinic through their browser. Download links are provided below:

Network Requirements

  • Minimum upload and download speed required: 200 kbps

  • Recommended upload and download speed: 500 kbps
